What the form collects
First name, email address, optional phone number, current test centre, current date and time, test type, preferred date range, acceptable centres and consent confirmations.
The service collects only what is needed to check possible learner-to-learner matches and run the pilot safely.
First name, email address, optional phone number, current test centre, current date and time, test type, preferred date range, acceptable centres and consent confirmations.
The form does not ask for a DVSA login, driving licence number, theory certificate number, home address, payment-card details or payment for a swap.
Submitted details are used to review possible reciprocal matches, contact learners separately and administer the listing. Opaque referral codes and an internal referral ledger are used to award and explain Match Priority; Priority is capped at 15 and never overrides compatibility. Referral campaign email is sent only where the learner has chosen the optional email permission. They are not published as public adverts.
Listings are stored in the private Google Sheet/Google Drive account connected to the form. Active listings are retained while useful for matching and deleted or anonymised within six months. Expired, withdrawn or completed listings are deleted or anonymised within 30 days once no longer needed.
Only if you choose “Allow analytics”, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, scroll depth, outbound clicks and a small signup funnel: join-button clicks, form start, completed steps, submission attempts, confirmed submissions, referral visits and share-button channels. Event properties contain only the page path, CTA location, step number or a general error category.
No form answers, names, email addresses, phone numbers, booking details, centre names, dates, times or free-text values are sent to analytics. Advertising storage, Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled. The provider configuration is public in the measurement configuration.
Google Analytics loads only after consent and can then set first-party _ga cookies used to distinguish visits. You can choose “Essential only” or change your choice at any time with the “Analytics settings” button; withdrawing consent stops measurement and removes accessible analytics cookies.
An opaque referral code may be stored in first-party local storage and an edt_ref cookie for up to 120 days so the first valid referral survives the signup journey. It contains no name, email address, booking detail or management token. The form also uses session storage to preserve an unfinished form in the same browser tab; that draft is cleared after a confirmed submission or reset. To prevent accidental repeat submissions, this browser can retain a non-personal submission receipt containing the listing reference, referral code and confirmation time for up to seven days.
If there may be a compatible match, both learners are contacted separately. Contact details are only shared after both learners agree. Information may also be processed by the hosting, email and form-storage providers needed to operate the service.
