About Exchange Driving Tests

Exchange Driving Tests is a free, privacy-first learner-to-learner practical driving test date exchange pilot.

Why this exists

Exchange Driving Tests was created because many learners are trying to find driving test swaps through Facebook posts, WhatsApp groups and direct messages. That can expose phone numbers and make people vulnerable to payment pressure or scams.

The aim is to create a more private, slower and safer way to check possible learner-to-learner driving test date exchanges.

What the pilot does

The site collects basic learner-submitted details, including first name, email, current test centre, current test date and preferred date range. Listings are manually reviewed for possible matches.

If there may be a compatible match, both learners are contacted separately first. No details are shared unless both people agree.

What the pilot does not do

  • It does not access DVSA systems.
  • It does not book, change, cancel or swap driving tests for learners.
  • It does not ask for DVSA login details.
  • It does not ask for driving licence numbers, theory certificate numbers or payment details.
  • It does not sell test slots.
  • It is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by DVSA.

Privacy-first by design

The site asks for the minimum information needed to check possible matches. Your listing is not displayed as a public advert, and your email is not shown publicly on test centre pages.

Submitted information is stored in a private Google Sheet/Google Drive account connected to the website form. You can request removal by emailing hello@exchangedrivingtests.co.uk.

Current focus

The early pilot is focused on proving whether real learner-to-learner matches can be found safely, especially around centres where signups already exist, including Pinner, Uxbridge, West Wickham, Greenford, Yeading and Lincoln.

As the pilot grows, any published stats or testimonials will be labelled honestly and never faked.
